This EMI home cares for those with dementia for the remainder of their lives, with love, understanding and dignity.

Our experience of the last phase of my mother's life was the best it could possibly have been, given the circumstances. We were welcomed and made part of the team, included in feeding, caring and decision-making as much as we wanted, and felt empowered and supported by the staff. Key workers were some of the most caring humans I have encountered.

The many other homes I visited did not match the atmosphere and standard of care.

Always remember that any home changes over time, especially with staff changes, and you must visit several times and be clear about what you want for your loved one.

Because of support groups I belong to, I am aware of several other people who have been very happy with their experiences of Shawe House.
