I was in Broone House with my brother when I was about 4 in 1959. I have good memories of my time there. There was a very kind young lady who taught ne to knit. The staff were very kind to me. I remember the goat which terrified me. He would often stand in the corridor and I would not go near him. I remember the old cars which we could play in and a large tree which we could climb. It was a homely place..
