"A complete nightmare to deal with"

When my Mother died we asked for and received all relevent information from the financial institutions she had invested with for Probate purposes.

All except CM.

Weeks went by and no amount of phone calls ( up to an hour on hold, then mysteriously cut off) or e mails would generate a response. Our Solicitor wrote two letters. Nothing.

We went to Halifax bereavement department as a liaison. Nothing.

Finally I told the Halifax to tell them I was going to the Police as I smelt a rat.

We got our payout - £ 67000 - soon after.
