"Compassionate and Caring"

I have been registerd with Whittaker Lane surgery for many years,but Dr Schryer is the GP I saw most often during the earlier years when I was struggling with severe anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

I found Dr Schryer to be well-informed about mental health issues[not a given fact with all GPs], non-judgmental,genuinely compassionate and a good active listener - essential factors which helped me to describe how these problems were affecting me on a day-to-day basis. I was able to do so without being made to feel embarrassed or inadequate, and he referred me for specialist treatment as and when I needed it.

I just wish it was possible to get an appointment with him as my problems are starting to recur.The other GPs are fine,but I feel more comfortable discussing my mental health issues with him..
