A review of Northmoor News by Libby Davies written on Saturday 30th of June 2012
I have many memories of 104 Northmoor Road from the early 70's to mid 1990's, well in the early days, opposite was the Sunshine League shop on the corner of Elgar Street, then was Margaret and Clems Greengrocery, then next to that was the laundermatte, then next to that was the Bakery, run by husband and wife Neil and Pat, then next to that Harold the Butcher, then at the end was Pat and her Husband, next to me at 106 was the chippy run by pat and her husband then at 108 was the hardware shop, which in later years became a william hill bookies, next to me in the early years at 102 and 100 we had hairdressers, and at 98 Theresa and her Sister, a very interesting pair, at the time of me being there, my partner was a policeman on the motorbikes, the local kids just loved to explore the Police Honda Super Dream, they did not have any harm just a interest in the what the machine represented, many years later i can still recall many happy memories, especially of the people i knew and can still remember from those, those of you past and present will remember, love you all still xxx.
