I bought a TAMIYA TT01 RC FORD ESCORT 2nd hand to have a problem. i came into MODELZONE on Deansgate, manchester. i exsplained i didnt buy this car from your shop but wondered if i could get this repaired here and is it ok to show you what the problem was. the guy said yes i see your motor is fine but your driveshaft isnt running on the back its possable a pin or the centre diff may need changeing. but he then said but we dont repair unless bought from the store. i exsplained model shops have more or less disapeared over the years as i noticed due to be 30yrs old now. he said yes the only place he suggested is bolton. i thought wow a model shop refuseing money to make moneys on repairing these tamiya tt01's. im shocked. the guy that helped me explained go down stairs ans ask for hobbyco 01908 605686. i said i just want to pay to get this repaired and turn up a few days later and fixed with a bill attached. halfords, car garages, bike shops, they all use this method why couldnt you. .
